Heritage variety: Also known as Hopi String beans, Rio Zape beans were discovered in Ancestral Pueblo cliff dwellings in New Mexico in 1935 and later found in a sealed tomb in Rio Zape, Durango, Mexico, believed to date back to around 600 AD.
